There is nothing like getting national recognition for the city that we love to call home. Forbes magazine recently rated Portland one of America’s safest cities. The rating takes into account violent crime, workplace deaths, fatal crashes and natural disasters. Portland came out shining with a proud 3rd place. Minneapolis and Milwaukee were 1st and 2nd. Our neighboring city Seattle tied for 4th place with Boston. Portland boasts the safest city rating in the country in the violent crime category. Way to go Portland!
